talk abt the SE concert, I must said it was very well-conceived in terms of the programme. The first part showed the technical finesse of our string peeps, esp the Snr High and the second part is lighter and livelier, started with Samson, Radion and Kai Li's crazy but lively performance with their sunglasses on (xiao... haha)..ending with popular tunes such as the rendition of 客人来and 月亮代表我的心 for the encores. then as the audience were leaving, the SE peeps started to play my all-time fav Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. gosh! so nostalgic as it brought back memories when I was studying in UK and the graduation ceremony in which this piece was played during our procession with our gowns on.
I must confess somehow i have this softspot for strings, esp the cello and double bass. So I was mesmerised by Kai Li's solo on the double bass, there is this sudden rush of emotions, very touched. think i am an emo person (to use this in-word). He only like started this instrument 2 yrs ago and the way he played it, gosh! no words to describe... just so emo...LOL
I thoroughly enjoyed the concerts I have attended so far. well done peeps!
later on today, two more concerts, one is EDS concert in the afternoon at HDB auditorium and then the other one will be VJC dance concert at VJ, kindaf invited by ex-student who went to join VIP. thought give support... and also long time never watch dance concerts.
EDS 加油!
