Stay? Achieving your dreams.

Just wanna enter some thoughts.

It dawned on me that DSA's going on in all IP schools and I suddenly wonder how many of our Dunmanian family (Yr 2 and 4s) will be leaving this family at the end of this year?

Perhaps, I shldn't be asking such question, since it involves matters of exercising personal choice.

But I have to ask this question because it means alot to me and to see one of us leave this family saddens me. This a time when we hope everyone will stay on and carve out the dreams in this epic journey. So it did sadden me when one chooses to abandon this ship (if i were to use the Yr 4 lvl camp 2008 theme - 6 families, 3 ships, 1 family).

it begs me to ask, would you stay on to live and leave a legacy, effect a change, build a new sch culture (since our IP journey is relatively new and a lot of moulding is inevitable) or

would you choose to go to some place, when everything is set in place, you can just blend in and be normalised?

remember, I always said to some of u, change needs time, esp change in terms of culture and mindset. so do u choose to shy away from this?

I guess, it boils down to these questions, "what makes me unique? Do I want to be unique? Do I have dreams? what are my dreams?"

I just wanna quote from this book I am reading now, "The Last Lecture" by Dr Randy Pausch (a very awe-inspiring book, go and read if u can),

"What makes me unique? ... I suddenly knew exactly what it was... whatever my accomplishments, all of the things I loved were rooted in the dreams and goals I had as a child...and in the ways I had managed to fulfill almost all of them. My uniqueness, I realised, came in the specifics of all the dreams... and I had lived out my dreams, in great measure, because of things I was taught by all sorts of extraordinary people along the way...."

"It's not about how to achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life in the right way... the dreams will come to you."

I hope DHS is where opportunities and possibilities can be found and created by ALL of US, and dreams come true.

Stay?

Live life, live dreams

dun miss me ... wahahahaha (Sorry, I must rub it in at the end. off I fly..wooohooo...)
