still awaiting email from Comm chest. anyway, just do ad first. This year's Stand chart, i will helping to raise funds for AWWA (Asia Women Welfare Association) TEACH ME (Therapy and Educational Assistance for Children in Mainstream Education). I decided to choose to raise funds for this programme becos I would like to give watever support I can for these children and youth to get education, teachers' heartbeat perhaps? 8-)
A little info on this programme:
AWWA TEACH MEAn integration support programme, AWWA TEACH ME aims to assists children and youth with special needs to gain admission to the mainstream pre-school/school system. These children and youth, who have physical disabilities, undergo a comprehensive programme that includes rehabilitative, educational, psychological and financial support. In addition, the programme reaches out to principals and teachers of mainstream schools to ensure that they understand the needs of their beneficiaries, so that they can adapt quickly to their new environment
