i had a bad start to my day yesterday, involved in a chain collision. sigh!
car in front jammed brake, i stopped while keeping a little distance, car behind just banged into me, causing me to move forward and bump into the front car. worst of all is there is this little car which basically ramped into the car behind me, whole front bonnet and headlights gone.
My question is, why do people tailgate? if they don't, even if car in front braked suddenly, you would have time to stop rite (like me). now car is with workshop and i am driving a replacement car, which is a big SUV. haha, dun know whether to laugh or to cry, i always wanted to buy a SUV.
important thing is for the insurance of the cars behind to fork the damages for mine and the car in front of me. (as a policy, the car behind must pay for the damages of the car in front, regardless of whether the car in front is at fault). i shldn't pay bcos i am not at fault (i stopped with a distance).
life is full of unforseen circumstances.
sian!
