No Pain No Gain

"The pain of disipline is far less than the pain of regret"
- Sarah Bombell, synchronized swimmer

had been having late nights. work work work. sounded quite jagged (is this the right spelling), and my EQ is getting lower by the day, inter-personal relationship in my own standard is turning worse. i think I am tired, which explains my previous post.

But the only thing that i look forward is my runs and training. oh man, something is terribly wrong. Maybe I do really need a break. probably just a passing downward phase at this stage of my life.

well, at least sep hols is coming and i will away to the philippines for some CIP training. hapyeee 8-) (i am gonna miss mich and guagua though)

Anyway, did some intense track workouts on the weekdays and today, woke up to do a relatively fast changi coastal bike leg, ave 35km/h. tried out the clip-on carbon aerobars that WK lent me. pretty chic.

Mon: 9 km run, 20 mins easy pace, 10 min race pace, 20 min tempo pace.
Wed: 3 x 1km track, 4:30, 4:10, 4:20
Thur: 2 x 1km 4:58, 4:30, 2 x 800 m 2:58, 2:58, 1 x 1km 4:50
Sat: bike leg, below is a rough map, but the distance a bit wrong, shld be 35 km.

This would be my training philosophy...

"The Truth is that Running Hurts. No one gets faster without meeting their personal pain barrier straight on. No amount of junk miles, fun runs or affirmations are going to get you over the hill at the five mile mark in a 10k. However, what will pull you through is solid prep with hard hill runs and interval work."
- Manciata's explanation of the Truth about Running
