Ground Zero

this week has been a roller coaster.
One thing i must remember, never ever return from an overseas trip late the nite before the start of school day. felt like super jet lag these few days. Of course, this time round no choice.

training really starts from ground zero again. even though did a couple of runs while in philippines, one slopes run, another two, intervals using treadmills. but it felt different.

the haze situation for the past few days disrupted the training. so today, thanks to the rain, haze cleared and today marked the "official start" of training. so WK and I did 11 km tempo run at ECP. negative splits with last 1km of the 5.5km leg at 4:30 pace and the return 5.5 km leg for 2 km at 4:15 pace. WK was super fast, the return leg, he was running at sub-4 pace and his cadence and striding was super fluid. Something that i need to work on.

now, my calves are aching like mush mellows. darn, need to rest and stretch.

edit: just discovered that the run was actually 14km. no wonder my legs are like mush mellows. 8-P
