remembered this from the movie Forest Gump, though i added the word "dark".
dark chocolates is bitter sweet, just like life, but it is just a simplistic analogy. Life can be more complex and complicated than chocolates(or we can make it simple and sweet).
I am nvr a fan of chocolates, probably because of my chronically inflamed tonsils and chocolates tend to cause them to swell and I will fall sick. a lot of friends told me that i missed one of the delights and savoury in life. but well, there are a lot of delights i can find,e.g. i have weak knees for cheese cakes and japanese food. LOL
so, in the midst of working overtime now, here i am digressing.
so bitter sweet has been for the days of this week so far. i have very low tolerance for latecoming and wasting time when there is serious business. shall not elaborate, those who experienced my "explosion" would know what i am talking about. seriously, time is already so scarce and hard to come by. this is one that contributed to the bitter part.
of course, the sweetness comes from seeing students growing, seeing that they understand what we (at least what I have been trying) have been driving at for the past few years, seeing them starting a fresh new day positively with the mass dance...
anyway, amidst all these bitter sweetness, i still did my runs, with WK. and man, he pushed the pace.
Sunday, I did a 14 km endurance run. first time to hit that distance after Powerman M'sia last year. then Mon was the track intervals. 4 x 1 km (4:27min, 4:21min, 4:19min, 4:37 min). last 1 km, i told him to go ahead (punctured bcos of the 14 km run) and vroom vroom, he went, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable workout.
Tue, 5km tempo run and last 1 km, vroom vroom, WK went ahead again. sparked my desire to chase him down the lane, though i failed. but again, it was a thoroughly enjoyable one.
i always enjoyed this kindaf of hard workouts, pushing out of comfort zones, and i have nvr known that i can run that fast, even at this age. haha. and of course, it helps to destress after a long and gruelling day's work.
so that's the beauty of running.
i simply love it.
MTV Asia is playing some great music videos again. at this time of the day. LOL
