Time to move on

Today was a big day for the results. I was sooo wanna be there at the hall but need to coordinate a tr training workshop... but my heart is with you, our dear 2009 cohort.

This is for you,
Well done to the cohort.
For many, it is time for joy,
and for a few, there are tears of regret.
Jubilent mood resonates,
But in some corners, there are emotions of disappointment.
Whatever happened has happened, it's not the end but the beginning.
Time to move on to the next stage.
Remember, be the best that you can be,
Dare to "Dream, Believe, Succeed" (Chris McCormack),
and most important of all,
live your life, live with no regrets.
jiayou!

Looking back at my own experience through my A level journey, I can't help but have a lingering sense of regret(even until now) that I could have been better. I must said I had gotten a rather hard knock in the first year becos of my lapse in focus. Though I buck up and did much better, with better time management, really focusing on the few areas (academics, CCAs and leadership). I still felt that I could hv paced myself better.

Being involved in running and sports for so many years, it epitomises the importance of focus and self-discipline and the constant need to self-reflect. Not that non-sports people would not be focused and self-disciplined, because different people draws strength and inspiration from different platforms and avenues. Somehow, running gives me the strength, inspiration and added perspectives towards my own outlook of life.

So, to my students,
if you have not been focused and disciplined,
it is time to do so.

Reflect.
