Angel

pure madness.
Another week has gone and worse,
knocked out at 930pm and now,
wide awake at wee hours.
There are thousand and one things
racing in and across my mind.

Haven't blog and reflect about things that happened around and in my life for a while. Busyness is a lame excuse. But I think I did, just never made the effort to pen it down. I treasure such quiet moments like now. Channel V is playing some good music.

let me capture some of my random thoughts here to share.

Are humans born good?
I still believe humans are born good, there are angels in all of us. temptations/desires will often interfere this goodness in us and sometimes, bring up the "devil" in us. making decisions/actions/using words that are inappropriate and hurts. That's why, we need to constantly reflect, make reference to our values and our belief system, so that the goodness in us are translated into our actions, thoughts and words.

Alot has taken place, decisions made, opinions and words exchanged. Don't want to elaborate too much here.

I think I am an idealist, peppered with some cynicism and reality. Of course, very often, idealism is associated with negative connotations, such as airy fairy, dreamer, unrealistic (But what is real?)...

I think we need to dare to dream, we need to be able to dream big, we need to have certain ideals and dreams, but grounded in reality. If we don't dream, if we don't dare to, we don't think it is "realistic" to dream, then I feel we are doing ourselves, our lives, the people around us, a disservice.

So don't be too over-pragmatic about things, about lives, don't let pragmatism be the main and sole consideration/factor that governs decision making. Everyone are meant to shine.

These are my beliefs.
These are what drive me into Education and continue to inspire me in ups and downs.
These are what I would want my students to take away from me when I crosses paths with them.

good night.
or rather,
Good morning.
