barefoot or not



just bought these weird looking shoes VFF, trek sports. did a 2 km run round the neighbourhood. felt ok, but I will take it in gradually, especially after my experience with newton (going out too far too fast).


Have been reading articles both pros and cons on barefoot running. Is it overhyped? over-rated?
Are running shoes really the cause of running injuries?

I would say, we need to be sensible and do things in moderation. I would probably use VFF for training in short distances moderately. Shall still do most of my runs in my running shoes.

I feel,
Most important of all,
is to enjoy running. 8)
