When new year arrives, as usual, one will tend to reflect on the year's proceedings/happenings and set new year resolutions. But many a times, some (at least for me) question the relevance of new year resolutions, since resolutions appear to be the same or similar each year; whether making resolutions is just a hype and it is superfluous to make resolutions since we never keep track of whether what has been made/whether we have achieved what we have set out to do.
I think, for me at least, it is important to set resolutions. For me, the resolutions are like a beacon light, that helps to guide me through the year. Of course, like the article I have shared in my previous entry, we can look at resolution setting from a different perspective.
2011 has arrived.
So, what is my resolution for 2011?
It will be a year of watershed.
A year in which I will be charting new grounds
moving on to a different horizon.
I would want to be more adventurous,
move out of my comfort zones,
in my sports endeavours, my cognitive aspects and family aspect.
To be more concrete;
move into adventure races, go back to duathlons, do at least an overseas race, learn scuba diving,
pick up my reading and painting,
do well in my masters,
spend more time with family,
do more cooking,
and
enjoy the year ahead.
