"Ask yourself: 'Can I give more?'. The answer is usually: 'Yes'."

brought my salomon for its maiden trail run at MacRitchie. what a run it turned out to be. Woke up at 630am, struggled to get out of the bed but somehow, I made it to the kitchen, after preparing my energy drinks and gear, set off to the reservoir park.
Hit the carpark at around 7 am. wow! there were a whole lot of runners congregating at different parts near the carpark. The place has changed alot, with new facilities, more parking places and toilets and even a cafe. The initial parts of the run was slow and steady, with slips here and there as I struggled a bit to get used to the trails in my new shoes. The slopes were a killer but I managed to keep to my pace and when I passed the golf course and re-enter the forest trails, I hastened my pace for the last 2 km with a final sprint to the carpark. Oh, met quite a few friends along the way some of them are doing their second round when I finished mine, amazing fellows!
11 km in 1 hr 5 mins. had my breakfast at the cafe, kopi o kosong, porridge and yam cake. shiok!
I shall target to do 3 loops before the sabah adventure challenge in April. gambatte! 8)
now my muscles are aching. shall do a short recovery run tomorrow morning.
