Today was a hectic day. morning, the whole of Dunman High was brimmed with new year atmosphere. all dressed up in their new clothes. guess this is one occasion where everyone can be themselves haha.
as promised, i asked yushan to handle the flag raising today. I muest say Yushan is very zai, very collected. but the students behind were quite noisy when announcements were being read. probably have to get the announcer to pause for a while to get their attention. no point reading announcements when nobody is listening rite?
anyway, got feedback that the movements of classes were quite chaotic... mmm... problem is our school doesn't have a big enough place to house the whole sch, so have to stagger the student population.... missed the concert... was counting the donations from the sch population for the 3 charities... well, maybe next time.
after that staff went for lou hei. quite fun. then rush down with han ge and june to cheer for the volleyball girls. Our B girls quite good, although they didn't played their best, think one of the key players was sick, managed to beat their opponents Chung Cheng Main. heard there are 3 girls playing in the combined schools. mm... impressive. then went over to support the C girls.. think our C girls still quite neng (green), but they managed to keep a respectable score against their stronger opponents Ngee Ann Sec, at least for the first set. well, they will grow .. hope they learn from their seniors. Some of the other schools are pretty good, I was watching Pasir Ris Sec... mmm... pretty strong, they gan gan da and their spikers are good... it will be a tough match... also got st hilda's and ngee ann.
During the C girls match, one of the B girls came over and told us not to cheer, becos give them pressure. I was like huh? do u wanna clear the courts so that the players can play on their own? I was wondering ... allo, this is a sports competition leh, there are bound to be supporters, what if the opponents filled up the seats with their supporters... we are there to cheer you on... I wonder... think must learn to focus and not be distracted and more importantly, draw strength from the cheers. sometimes a bit of pressure is good. 8-)
heard that the Badminton B girls won their match... yeeehhh... dun know how the C girls fare...
tomorrow and fri tough matches for Vball. fri Badminton playing at opponents'home ground... aiya got meeting... arrgghhh... see whether can rush down.
just now, bumped into one of the blogs by Chung Cheng Main vb girl, said we jeered them during the B girls match, led by the teachers... mmm... did we? ...mmm... shall reflect on that and refrain from doing that in subsequent matches. sorry Cheng Chung Main girls... wo men shi wu xin de...(we didn't mean it)
sigh, my bike is still down... 8-(
