nail-biting...

wasay! today a lot of exciting things

ok, not so exciting one... this morning woke up late. so ran to Simei MRT, took a train to Paya lebar and ran a 7km route to school. did it in 33 mins. not too bad..8-)

ended lessons, followed whole gin gang of students to go down to support the volleyball B girls against Ngee Ann Sec. they lost, think they committed quite a few mistakes. But I must say the Ngee Ann Girls are strong, from the way they play, can see that their foundation is very strong. We almost missed watching the first set, because the bus uncle was driving very cautiously... maybe bcos of the recent accident involving a Pri sch bus and SBS bus... then zoop, the second set finished. but we cheered like siao. we are into the Nationals, but there is a gap ... hope the B girls train harder and stay focused.

Earlier, volleyball C girls won their crucial match against Junyuan sec, 25-5, 25-21. Shiying (i think, no 14) was telling me that the second set was close bcos the opponents were jeering them from behind. mmm... well, my dears, that's what competition is abt, stay focused and don't be swayed by the audience... it's not easy, but try lah... that's why i say supporters are very important. anyway, we didn't go down earlier becos we have lessons... and of course dear bus uncle drove cautiously. 8-P They will win their crucial match next monday against Pasir Ris Sec and advance into the finals... yeeehhh...

wa, the Basketball B boys match against the super tough temasek sec was simply.. nail-biting. they needed to win to secure a place in the second round... and they did it! the points were at one time (or I think most of time) neck to neck. We missed quite a no of chances and made a no of mistakes resulting in turnovers. and Temasek Boys were good, individual skills. But...our boys matched them with sheer grit.... the match tied at 33-33 after full time. and have to go into extra time. I must say, the last 10 mins of the game were really mental... our boys were so tired but managed to convert a no of critical baskets... won 41-40. all the supporters were screaming and shouting for them, Badminton Girls came, Volleyball C girls came, BBall girls came and many others. I think we rocked Fengshan CC down. haha. But made an observation, our reserve really needs to train and play hard... need to provide depth for the starting line up or else they will be so tired.

so we won, and it's is gonna be a tough second round. but well, the ball is round and anything can happen... let's hope they practise on their physical stamina and skills.

badminton B girls won their match today as well, yeeehhh... tomorrow against TKGS at their school, homeground... oooo... will go and cheer them on.

I shall make the full run to sch tomorrow... duathlon coming end of this month and tomorrow nite got lou hei dinner with safra running club people... sinful feasting again. 8-P

ouch! my throat and voice... croaking from all the cheering... but very shuang3, worth it! 8-)
