quality or quantity?

really enjoyed the interaction with students, like this evening's one with the Year 5 SCs. it's when u really can hear and listen to their perspectives, but it is very tiring and draining, both for us and the students.

I think we really need to look at the quality of interaction we have with them, in our increasing busyness, it somehow take a backseat. can't blame the teachers too.

nevertheless, the channels of communication is something that I would devote my time to, because I believe that it is thru dialogues and talking that we understand each other better and that's where education truly comes in, besides just covering syllabuses and content.

share a quote here:
"It is the quality of the teacher-learner relationship that is crucial - more crucial, in fact, than what the teacher is teaching, how the teacher does it, or whom the teacher is trying to teach." - Teacher Effectiveness Training, Dr Thomas Gordon

on hind sight, don't know whether this post is sensitive... hope it won't be picked up by some people and post on the papers in the forum. haha

but then, who am i?

Just a teacher who cares.
