Last week, I went for the VJC Dance Club performance, Footnotes 2008 - It's all in the details... and OMG, i am treated to a wonderful extravaganza of dances!
Each piece was wonderfully chereogeraphed (by student dancers and with the help of their instructors i think), complemented wonderfully by the dazzling lights, the costumes, the superb dance moves, power, elegance, sharp, crisp...
The repertoire of dances were so varied... hip hop, reggae and funk, jive, tango, cha cha, ballet, ethnic fusion, i can only name a few. The music also were ommp! there is also a teachers' dance, invited a group of kids who did superb hiphop, tap dancers...And I like the SYF dance and the one that won them 2nd place in chereography in the Barcelona Dance Awards.
what touched my heart the most is the passion that exudes from the dancers, they were so engaging and passionate that it kindaf overwhelmed me... maybe I am too emo...LOL
it's really a great way to end my nite.
Thanks Qing Hui for your invitation. It's great that you are pursuing your dreams and passions.
Hope I can see this kindaf passion in Dunmanians.
Here's some pictures i took from my lao pok HP camera. Only managed to take pics of the last few dances.
