Haiz, Man U won the Premier League again. not surprising though it was quite exciting to see the league comes to the final matches. This also shows the depth of the team that Man U has and they peaked at the rite time. I must qualify though, I am not a man u nor a chelsea fan. LOL
anyway, today was busy running around for retail therapy with family. all geared up for level camp.
in the end, i only managed to do a 14km run at ECP in the evening. I will be totally unprepared for the coming sundown marathon siah. wthecks... well...
talking abt EDS Nite, the other day, I went for the matinee. I enjoyed the dances and dramas, esp ken's monologue on Singaporean's mentality. however, somehow or rather, i feel that there is not enough kicks. I had been thinking while watching the EDS performances, wouldn't it be wonderful to have a drama nite, that's pure dramas by English Drama Society (EDS)? and perhaps even a combined performance with the CS drama? then we will have our peeps in drama totally immersed in drama and offering us with a spectrum of different drama genres, can be short palys, impromptu, monologue, recital, etc
Somehow or rather, I feel that the dances kindaf didnt gel with dramas, and I felt that the dancers could have done more, and perhaps being separated from Drama might be a good alternative, i.e. they can have a dance nite where we have a extravaganza of different genres of dances...and even work with CS Dance to put up a dance nite. maybe we shld just have a dance society.
it is a crazy idea, but with so many budding talents and performing arts groups coming out, and if each starts to put up concerts, we would have too many concerts to attend and the target audience would most likely be diffused. anyway, by saying this, i have touched the raw nerves of many, but hey, if context changes, then we have to change our ways of conceptualising things and our mental models...
I don't believe in doing things the same way again and again and again and... year after year.... good things, good traditions we can maintain and we keep, but even if we keep, it should fit the context of our changing times.
Change is the only constant. Apologies if I have stir a storm. LOL
but what do you think?
Change, collaborate, communicate
