Ideals and vision

Ideals are like stars: you will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the ocean desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them, you reach your destiny. Carl Schurz

When we are caught up with mundane issues that might cloud our judgements of fundamental issues or our perceptions, let's not lose track of our vision and ideals, and follow our hearts. working out the means to reach our ends, rather than treating the means as the end.

why am i saying all these? it is tough when change is initiated, the process of change management has never been easy, and it is compounded by the human factor, the emotions, the prior experiences, the mindsets. more efforts has to be spent in buying in my colleagues, to support them so that they can support us in dealing and managing behaviour

quick fixes is easy but do we want easy management? or we want something beyond just understanding consequences? in which our behaviours are realised by a core set of values that we all uphold as a family?

it is a balancing act, when our scope of work expands exponentially.

well, time is needed, more efforts is needed, more communication is needed. we will get there,

eventually.
