Stepping up

Did around 19 km today with safra TP/Yishun. actually i was late by 15 mins plus. so I was wondering whether they have started. In the end, started on my own, run towards fort road from CP B1 as a warm up, then U turn and go towards NSRCC direction. saw the first group of runners at after CP F2 I think, so i go further until I reach the sailing club, and made a U turn and head back to CP B1.

Haven't seen some of the runners for a while, so have a chat with them and proceed to old kallang airport for brunch before heading home. It was a good run, I was focusing on getting my strides rite, forefeet running, breathing, keeping my knees soft and getting used to my new saucony shoes. still i stopped a couple of times to stretch my left foot. the tendon was aching and I didnt want to over exert. but i like the pace and somehow or rather the striding was smooth and i seem to be able to cover the distance with better posture. shld work on that.

was chatting with some of safra members and they were talking abt taking part in the HK Oxfam Trailwalker 100K race and the Powerman Malaysia. Got me interested. the Oxfam Trailwalker is a charity event that requires teams of 4 to cover 100 km within 48 hrs and suppose to raise at least HKD6000 or something like that.

But the problem is it takes place on 21-22 Nov, and I might be in the taiwan HK BSP immersion. mmm....

For powerman Malaysia which takes place on 8 Nov, it covers 11 km run, 64 km bike and 10 km run (wow!) this one is more feasible.

"Don't think you can do such a long distance of 11km run, 64km bike and 10km run? Fret not, Powerman Malaysia has a Team Relay and Sprint category available for you. To find out more about the Team Relay and Sprint categories, go to the RACE INFORMATION section on the main menu"

I wanna do both races. one race at a time. let me finish the Raw Duathlon and then the sundown ultramarathon.
oosh!
