爽啊!

I am still savouring the sweet victory that the gals had. adeline's spike is power, LOL. and the coverage of the court is magificent, the reflexes, the spikes, the settings... sweet sweet haha

Anyway, was talking to ET and he was sharing with me his mixed feelings. I was telling him to focus on the positive feelings and start the rebuilding process and more imptly, the alumni!! It is not gonna be easy, but 天下无难事,只怕有心人。

Anyway, he shared with me this from a girl's (I think she is from cj) blog abt her comments on the match between our gals and HC

"so i make my way down to CCAB directly to watch the volleyball matches my friend is playing in, after which i watched HCJC vs. Dunman High. seeing how HCJC who is supposedly strong get totally thrashed by Dunman, makes me feel how unfair it was that we lost to Dunman by that small margin, which would probably have gotten us further into nationals. but as i watched the way Dunman's team moved and played as one, i realised how even with the best of players, we wouldn't possibly have beaten them. how i wish our team had such chemistry. next year folks, next year."

"moved and played as one... such chemistry". indeed, this is the beauty of team sports, and the gals have proven to critics that we can rise to the occasion. Though victory might come too late, there is no medals and material achievements, but success and victory in it's purest sense goes beyond the material.

success and victory lies in your hearts.

like I mentioned to the gals, the game exuded their love, passion, respect for the game, and more importantly, respect for the opponents. becos if we dun respect the opponents, we take it too lightly, then the game won't be raised to this level, we would probably played mediocrely. If we respect the other side, then, we would want to put in our best, up the game.

This is sportsmanship, olympic spirit. LOL

sound all mushy and philosophical.

anyway, did a relatively quick paced 8km tempo run, I think at one time, I was doing 4min 45 to 5min/km, must be the motivation from the gals' victory. LOL

see if I can clock in a longer mileage tomorrow. This week's gonna be siong, with all the PTMs and SE concert, but I am determined to clock my last few 20+km this week, before tapering.
target total mileage: 65km.

woosh!

sweet sweet victory. 8-)
