“There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.”
Malcolm X
My heart felt like a stone a thousand tonnes sinking down the deeps when the news of the loss to VJ was smsed to me. To be honest, i have this inclining feeling before today's match, hearing how they played against HC. But I chose to ignore that and to believe in the team, becos I can sense that fiery fighting spirit and the burning desire for the game.
getting all emo abt it (maybe I have been following very closely since their B div days) and kindaf affected what i was doing. had a long chat with ET, looking at the gaps and even talked abt how to build the sports culture, the constraints, the possibilities (are there?) it's high time becos i am always a firm believer in Sports as a platform to build character, to build emotional and mental resilience and tenacity and more importantly, to build sch spirit (Disclaimer: I am not discounting other fields). but the road ahead wont be easy, but we have a team of dedicated trs. the issue now is to spread the influence.
heck for now. I just wanna say this to the girls:
i empathise and can connected strongly to your sense of loss and emptiness,
being a sports person myself.
but
you have lost to a much better team,
and that the loss doesn't mean that you are not good.
there are other factors tat need to be considered.
words can never ease that pain,
only time will heal.
so,
keep that burning passion for the game
and continue to have that even when u leave
and spread that into ur juniors.
that's how traditions are built
that's how culture is shaped.
and we need people like you.
Meanwhile
the fighting spirit is there
end the season on a high note (for yourself, the team)
there is nothing to lose, anyway.
like wat i mentioned before
walk out of the court with your heads high
with no regrets.
This is not the end (unless you see this as the end),
it is the beginning.
bless you all.
dun feel like working. 8-(
it is great that Mon is a sch hols. i can go and cheer... yehh... no pressure, gals! 平常心 okie? 8-P
