Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you.We are all meant to shine as children do. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsiously give other people to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Every time I reflect on this quote. it gives me new insights. it brings back the 10/90 principle in my previous post. So, what is our deepest fear? what is our existence?
let others shine as we shine ourselves.
This is to the A div, (esp the girls vball. you have tough matches ahead, since I follow your matches and spoke to you all a no. of times. 8-))
Fear not your opponents,
it is not about how strong they are,
how well they play,
the strong traditions they have.
It is you, as individuals and as a team.
It is not just skills, but
your mental preparedness,
your attitude towards the game.
Believe and focus in your and team's abilities,
and
not indulge in your perception of your inadequacies.
when the going gets tough
the tough gets going.
Play each match as if it is the last match of your life.
So, it is a judgement call
both within you and as a team
how you are going to walk out of the court.
I would visualise
you gals walking out after each match,
as a team
with your heads high
with no regrets
jiayous.
