Attitude

Currently, reading this book by J C Maxwell, The Difference Maker-Make Your Atttiude Your Greatest Asset.

MTV Asia at this time shows great Music Videos in VH1 hits, I always enjoy watching and listening to this channel while reading and working.

This week as usual, busy.
I think busy is an understatement.
and Fri/weekend has arrived.
But Monday is round the corner,
then another week starts.
endless cycle.

A lot took place this week
A friend shared with me his near-death experience. he was down with some pneumococus blood posioning. He has made his will but rushed to lawyer to sign some documents before being admitted. heavy dosage of antibiotics but no vail. Then, last straw, the most potent medicine, bunked into the infectious Critical Unit with double-layered doors. He recovered and return to work. i salute his positive attitude and "nvr-say-die" mindset (literally), but he and i also recognise he needs to re-examine his workaholic attitude and make adjustments for other priorities.

But there are people in the other half of the spectrum. and I try very hard to understand the reasons of why people choose to take certain course of actions.
giving up or holding on
from another perspective, perservere or choose the easy way out
I find it very self-preserving
probably it is a part of human nature, a defence mechanism when face with adversity, change, uncertainty that disturb the comfort level.

I think attitude plays a huge part, to be positive and find meaning in the mud and dirt of things(see the stars)
or be negative and continue to look at the mud and dirt and sink deeper.

Running really helps me to reflect on things, give me the time and space to think abt things of what I see and experience.

today's run was a fruitful one. i love running 8-)

Thur 400m (fast), 400m (slow jog), 800m (fast), 400m (slow), 1200m (fast)

Fri 7 km (tempo run), 8 x 80 m (intervals).

Random rants.
