"Too often triathletes in a race environment dwell on what went wrong during their last leg or on what catastrophe might occur next. Engaging in this unproductive thinking comes at the expense of focusing on things that would improve performance." - Triathlete Magazine, Sep 2010, p70
I think this goes beyond triathlons. Every often, I see myself and many dwelling on things that were either beyond our control, or things that are unproductive and waste of time. good to reflect.
anyway, I am enjoying things that are non-work related. Is this a sign. time for time-out?
Running and cycling is my way of life. reading is part of my life.
Sat did a 35 km ride before rain cut it short, followed by a 3km transition run.
Sun did 30 km ride with WK before we head off for breakfast. oh, then, decided to bring guagua to school to cheer YOG torch relay. well, it is inaugural, held in Spore and I would think this would be the only time when any form of olympics will be held here.
had a great pre-national day bbq with friends and their kids. good to chill.
Today's weather was great. did a 45 km ride in mid-afternoon sun followed by 5km transition run. oosh! I have been able to maintain my speed at 34 - 36km/h for sustained periods and at high cadence. good training. I think my bike trainer sessions and the hill repeats up the 200m slope behind old changi hospital help.
tomorrow is the last day of hols. Tennis and exercise time with guagua, before starting on piles of work backlog. eeee....
