There are two things i would not hesitate to spend money on (i mean besides providing for my family).
First one are books, I think the number of books I have, I can form a mini library. Of course, some books from mich, but the categories are, i would say, vast. From non-fiction, to academic, fiction, comics, personal grooming, scientific, poetry, chinese, history etc. I have a huge appetite for reading and i feel reading is impt to our minds. Of course, now it is getting tougher to get in some reading time. i also have 10 years worth of sports magazines, running, triathlon, plus mich's national geographics, times.
The second thing i would spend on relates to my running and cycling. Running shoes is a huge sum, with every half yrly change or 600 to 700 km change. Used to spend quite alot on taking part in races, but with the 'retirement' from such endeavours, saved a fair bit. The other latest sports spending would be my bicycle. Started with alu alloy scotts speedster, then my first giant carbon frame, to the most recent scotts addict 2009 carbon. The other one will be the cassette, wheelset, crankset. Of course, i don't buy first hand, always second hand and good deal. That's why network is pretty impt. 8) now i am thinking of upgrading my frame to the basso laguna, second hand one year old. Haha.
The most current spurge, the most luxurious spending i made is a car. I must be crazy but after driving my previous one for 3 yrs, and upon advice from Mich, i thought it is high time to change. And what a change it has been. The result, my dream car, mazda 6 hatchback with sporty features and classic silver. an excellent buy, thanks to my sis and bro in law. I must thank the previous owner for keeping the car in such excellent shape.
I don't think my possessions have any tangible value, depreciation maybe. Haha. But they are things that i like and enjoy doing. Afterall, i am human, with indulgences. 8)
