“Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.” - Lance Armstrong

this week really flies. it's only like Mon and with a blink of the eye and here it is now Saturday in the wee hrs. gosh! i feel old.

but it was an eventful week. First, talk abt training so far

Mon - did a 12 km run (my previous entry)
Tue - rest
Wed- did 10 km, slopes, 50min, at bedok area after watching a exhilarating B boys basketball semi-final at AHS
Thur - cycle, 20 km, sprint with 3 x slopes at ECP area
Fri - cycle, 20km, sprint with 2 x slopes

Sat - Singapore Biathlon so ECP area very packed. think i will go for cycle, 40 - 50km
Sun - long run aiming for 20 km

I talked abit of this week's sports matches. the B boys bball semis at AHS against CCHMS was exhilarating, we lost to a technically superior team but looking at how the boys bite their lips and fight to the very last sec... deep in my heart, they are winners for their fighting spirit. thru out the 3 quarters, there were certain points when our boys narrowed the difference to within 5 points... i see the CCHMS heads were down for a while... and even when we are lagging behind with a large margin, our boys never give up and manage to narrow the gap to the very end.

THis is precisely the spirit i feel all Dunmanians shld have, the never-say-die, the will and the fighting spirit to do the best that they can be.... and it must go beyond the realm of competitions and matches to their academics, their attitudes, behaviour then we will have true dunmanians 真正的德明人。I will work towards that, so that eventually they go out and compete against the top people, they are prepared and have that hunger to succeed.

the b girls Badminton EZ finals was equally exciting... i missed the first singles... arrgghh.. i think that was the turning point when we won that after rubber set. it was a psychological advantage, a huge one. and first doubles played well... and as usual, our 2nd doubles of twins was undefeatable. finally, we won PLMGS, after so many years... ooo hooo... but the girls must remain humble in success. hope they do well in the nationals.

then i went down to Tampines stadium, thought I could catch some of the track events, 200m sprint ended when I arrive.... aarrgghhh... but our track peeps did well. almost half the golds for the 1st finals were bagged by us. then i was like last min asked to be VIP to give out the trophies, because I was the only one that was in proper attire (long sleeve and pants) so funny and paiseh.. i was joking with 师兄 that next time i wear slippers.haha

it was a tiring week, my work is piling up, still owe alot of stuff to alot of people, but i enjoyed this week because i have witnessed good fighting spirit from Dunmanians and as a person indulged in sports.. it's a feeling of 爽!

For me, three events in first half of the year:
Tribob Sprint Series Duathlon 20 Apr
Oakley Duathlon 19 May (I think)
Sundown Marathon 31 May

Still thinking whether wana take part in the Saucony Passion run.

adrenalin high... shall bike tomorrow. good nite

德明 加油!yeh!
