okie, let me talk about my runs so far.
Sat 1 Aug was the inter-constituency run. it was in the afternoon at bedok reservoir. Was feeling abit lerthagic. met the team and was looking around the runners from other constituencies, they looked very pro, and many are young runners.
A few of us in the team were saying, 年轻就是本钱。哈哈
the run started at 415pm. a few of us stayed at the back becos it was pretty crowded at the front. once the horn sounded, we started to inch quickly forward. I increased my pace and started to overtake many runners, when I reached the pump station, many had started to slow time, so I increased my pace. looking at my watch, I had a good feel that I can go under 20 mins, so maintained my pace until the final 1 km, by then, the sun is scorching and my lungs were like almost bursting. But I started picking up my pace again and break into a sprint at the final 300 m. woosh! 19 min 46s. yeh!
i had been doing 21 and 20 mins for the 4.3 km route (Anyway, only timed twice bcos i dun really like the route). But i have pushed myself to reach my target, sub 20.
yeh!
Sunday - slack and rest and work on my assembly talk
Mon - BLUES. but I did 20 km quick spin on my bike in the morning, ave 34km/h.
afternoon did track workout with WK. glad training partner is back from reservist, haha. did 3 x 1 km (4:12 mins, 4:28 mins, 4:24 mins). then, our tyres punctured..becos both of us did not have a proper lunch and our stomachs were gruntling.
i like the discipline of training. it is good and inspirational to have a good training partner.
